Hey guys! Pippa here again. It’s so lovely to see you all back following my journey and keeping up to date with my antics.
If you’re new here, welcome to my nine-week treatment plan with Clear Correct clear braces! I’ll be taking you through my experiences and giving my feedback to how the overall treatment is. You can also pop over to our YouTube to check our my video updates of my clear brace progress as well.
My clear aligners have been fantastic so far, and after the first couple of days, I totally forgot I even had them in! There were multiple times I even went to brush my teeth in the morning without taking them out (can't function without that morning coffee), so they really are that discreet and comfortable! Also, to my surprise, I haven’t complained once about not being able to snack as much between meals (and if you knew me personally, you’d know that was a GREAT achievement!) so overall, I am incredibly happy with my second week!
I’ve also been using my oral care pack which was given to me at my first check in appointment after starting treatment, I was given a Clear Correct box with some goodies inside to help me with my journey which included the following...;
- A funky pink case to pop my aligners in when I need to take them out to eat or drink.
- Some chewie's, which are little rubber devices which help get your aligners in properly
- A small booklet explaining the best way to look after your teeth while in treatment and use the aligners properly.
- And of course, my NEXT set of aligners! (this week, week 2!)
I have now popped in my second set of clear braces, and again the pressure was immediate, but with the help of my chewie’s I managed to eventually get them in properly.
Next week I am going back to the dentist so he can check my progress by making sure my teeth are moving correctly in accordance to my treatment plan, and also, I am having my attachments put on certain teeth. The attachments are simply small blobs of composite (white filling material) which are applied to your teeth to put a little extra pressure where’s needed! Exciting times!
